Techniques

Techniques were attacks and movements players could perform in battles in Shadow Fight 1. More techniques could be unlocked as players increased their Dan or reputation points. The following were the types of techniques available:

Basic Strikes[]

Basic Strikes were simple attacks players could perform on their targets. They gave less damage than the "Super Strikes" but were easier to perform.

BasicPunch Straight Punch It was one of the basic strikes which allowed the player to punch forward. In order to use this attack, players had to ensure that they were not too close to their opponent. It was a quick and fast punch, and made the opponent stumble backwards.
UP Uppercut The player crouched before doing an uppercut, making it effective against an enemy who was performing a  punch directed towards the player's head, or when the enemy was performing a jump kick or was airborne and hurtling towards the player. In order to perform this attack, players had to press the Up Arrow Key + X key.
SP Strong Punch To perform this move, the players had to press the Right/Left Arrow Key and the X Key. It caused more damage than a normal punch. The player lunged forward and punched with their fists. However if the player missed, their reaction time for getting back to blocking position being slow, left them vulnerable to moves such as the Uppercut.
SP1 Spinning Punch In order to perform this move, players had to press the key of the direction opposing their character and the X key. It was a very fast attack, but could be dodged easily by using a low attack.
Low Punch Low Punch When the move was performed successfully, it would cause the opponent to either move back or fall down. This attack worked well when the player was close to his opponent.
High Kick High Kick It was a fast, easy move that was stronger than a straight punch, but easy to dodge. This move could be performed by pressing the C Key.
Front Kick Front Kick In order to perform this move, the player had press the key of the direction they were facing + 'C' key. The front kick was a kick that had a lot of range, did moderate damage, and was useful against the enemy when they were walking towards the player or sweep kicking. Players could easily take advantage of the high range.
Back Kick Back Kick In order to perform this move, players had to use the key which opposed the direction the character was facing + 'C' key. It was a move that had a lot of range and was useful against the opponent when they were moving towards the player or performing a jump towards the player.
Sweep Kick Sweep Kick In order to perform this move, the player had to use the 'Down' Key + 'C' key. This move was used when the opponent was standing. It made the opponent fall backwards and was useful for getting first strikes.
Spinning Jump Kick Spinning Jump Kick In order to perform this move, players had to use the 'Up' Key + 'C' key. This move was best performed while the opponent was performing a jump or a jump attack towards the player. This move could be dodged if the opponent crouched or used a ground attack.
Front Jump Kick Front Jump Kick In order to perform this move, players had to press the 'Forward' Key + 'Up' Key + 'C' Key. This move was best used when the opponent was standing or performing a jump. However, this move left the player vulnerable to attacks such as the Horse Kick and the Spinning Step Kick.
Low kick Low Kick In order to perform this move, the player had to stand close to their opponent and use the 'Down' key + 'C' key. This move was likely to make the opponent fall backwards.
Elbowuppercut Elbow Uppercut This move could only be performed by pressing the 'X' key when the player was standing close to the opponent.
HKK High Knee Kick This move could only be performed by pressing the 'C' key when the player was standing close to their opponent.
KneeKick Knee Kick It could be performed by pressing the 'Forward' key + 'C' key. The player had to be near their enemy before attempting to use this kick.
SJK Short Jump Kick It could be performed by pressing the 'Up' key + 'C' key.
FH Front Handspring In order to perform this move, the players had to press the key of the direction the character was facing twice. This move was best performed when the opponent was performing a jump attack towards the player or when the opponent was moving towards the player. It made them fall backwards.
ST Shoulder Throw This move could be performed by pressing the 'X' key + 'C' key.
WT Wheel Throw This move could be performed by pressing the 'Back' key + 'X' key + 'C' key.
Horse Kick Horse Kick It could performed by pressing 'Back' key + 'Down' key along with the 'C' key.
Strong Elbow Strike
Axe Kick Axe Kick It could be used by pressing the 'Up' key+ 'Back' key+ 'C' key.
SSK Spinning Step Kick It could be used by pressing the 'Forward' key + 'Down' key + 'C' key.
GaK Grab and Kick It could be used by pressing the 'Forward' key + 'C' key + 'X' key.
Sweep Kick to the Head
LUTD Lift Up and Throw Down It could be used by pressing the 'Up' key + 'X' key + 'C' key.

Super Strikes[]

Super Strikes were the more advanced attacks players could perform on their targets. They caused more damage.

Wall Flip Wall Flip It could be performed by standing near a wall and pressing the 'Back' key twice.
Double Sweep Kick
Double Punch Double Punch It could be performed by pressing the 'Forward' key + 'X' key + 'X' key.
Swoop Triple Kick
SF1JDSK Jumping Double Spin Kick It could be performed by pressing the 'Up' key + 'C' key + 'C' key.
Kick Flip Kick-Flip It could be performed by pressing the 'Up' key + 'Back' key + 'C' key + 'C' key.
TLJK Two Leg Jump Kick It could be performed by pressing the 'Back' key + 'C' key + 'C' key. When used, the player would jump up and consecutively kicks the opponent in the air twice. The player would then kick the enemy again from the ground, which would launch the opponent backwards.

Movements[]

Backhand

Back Handspring

Players used movements to move around the place in battles. Movements could also be used to dodge attacks made by enemies.

The movements included:

  • Step Forward
  • Step Back
  • Duck
    Duck SF1

    Duck

  • Jump
  • Wall Jump
  • Back Handspring
  • Front Flip
  • Back Flip
    Jump SF1

    Jump

  • Front Roll
  • Back Roll


Fatalities[]

Fatalities SF1

Fatalities were used to finish opponents. Fatalities could only be performed when the opponent was almost knocked out. (the game commanded, "FINISH HIM" as a prompt). More fatalities could be unlocked as the player's reputation increased. Opponents would receive a notification in their mailbox when players successfully performed fatalities on them. Fatalities could only be used in Tournaments and Friendly Duels with opponents whose reputation points were lower than the player's.

The fatalities included:

  • Throw with Finishing
  • Sky Kick
  • Slide Finishing
  • Arm Breaker with Finishing
