This article refers to Weapon Classes in Shadow Fight 2. For other uses, see Weapon Classes (disambiguation).

In Shadow Fight 2, there are dozens of weapons that are merely visual variants of previous ones, functionally differing only in their Super Slashes or not at all. A minority of weapons, especially the exotic hybrid or technologically advanced weapons encountered in Act VII, may additionally differ in a few other attacks or basic properties while still sharing many of the same moves with other weapons.

Therefore, most weapons in Shadow Fight 2 can be classified into classes based on their attack styles and their weight. To see a list of Shadow Fight 2's weapons ordered by when they are obtained, see Weapon (SF2).

Weapon classes names are given by the in-game demonstration of their moves, whereas sub-classes are named after a description of the distinct Super Slashes among the weapon class.

Weapons that are written in italic cannot be obtained.

Knives[]

Knives SF2

Knives are short blades wielded in pairs. Their attacks deal slightly more damage than average, have fast speed but short range, and are performed with minimal movement; in addition, all but two attacks are aimed directly at the head.

Sample Attacks
KnivesDoubleSlashDouble slash (8Base damage + 8Base damage): two swings at the head KnivesSpinningSlashSpinning slash (12Base damage): rapid strike at the head KnivesLowSlashLow slash (12Base damage): lunging strike at the ankle

Knives can be categorized into two sub-classes based on their Super Slashes.

Double-hit Jumping Slashes Rapid 6-hit Spinning Slashes

Knuckles[]

Knuckles

Knuckles are low-profile fist-fitted weapons wielded in pairs that are designed to augment the damage of normal punches. Their attacks deal very high damage, have very fast speed but very short range, and, with the exception of their super slashes, are performed with minimal movement.

Technical note: knuckles weapons have identical attacks to the barehanded moveset but grant a Super Slash, and they therefore can trigger the Martial Spirit perk and lack a Double Punch. The exception to both is the Pneumo Fists, which grants a Double Punch and cannot trigger the perk.

Sample Attacks
KnucklesStraightPunchStraight punch (11Base damage): rapid jab at the head KnucklesSpinningPunchSpinning punch (18Base damage): rapid swing at the head KnucklesLowPunchLow punch (16Base damage): lunging strike at the ankle

Knuckles can be categorized into three sub-classes plus one special sub-class based on their Double Punches and Super Slashes.

Sai[]

Sai SF2

Sai are small straight-bladed weapons wielded in pairs that are designed for stabbing. Their attacks deal the lowest damage out of all weapons, but they have faster attack speed than average and are performed with lunging thrusts with long movement and range.

Sample Attacks

The Flame Clubs also grants unique Strong Slash and Spinning Slash moves with slower speed but farther movements than their standard Batons counterparts.

Katana[]

Katana SF2

Katana are long swords that include, but are not strictly limited to, the distinctive curved, double-edged Japanese katana. Their attacks are moderate in damage, speed, range, and movement. In addition, all but two attacks are aimed directly at the head.

Sample Attacks

Katana can be categorized into two sub-classes plus one special sub-class based on their Double Slashes and Super Slashes.

Double-hit lateral slashes Double-hit thrust-and-downward slash
5-hit Daisho attack
Daisho weapons also grant a unique Double Slash move; both it and its Super Slash use a shorter secondary blade (wakizashi) which the wielder steps forward to attack with.

Swords[]

Swords SF2

Swords is an umbrella term for many moderate-length blades wielded in pairs whose appearances share nothing in common yet function identically in all standard attacks. Their attacks deal slightly less damage than average and have moderate speed, but they have moderately long range and their attacks are accompanied by long lunges forward. All non-Super attacks other than their Strong Slash are lateral swings, making Swords weapons well-suited to precisely head-hitting at different heights at the cost of being more easily dodged.

Sample Attacks
SwordsStrongSlashStrong slash (8Base damage): non-lateral yet headward SwordsUpperSlashUpper slash (10Base damage): precise swing at the head SwordsLowSlashLow slash (13Base damage)

Swords can be categorized into six sub-classes based on their Super Slashes.

Fans have a shorter attack range than most Swords but cause more knockback when their Spinning Slash and Low Slash attacks are blocked.

Nunchaku[]

Weapon steel nunchaku

Nunchaku are clubs tethered together that are wielded in pairs. Their attacks have fast speed, moderately short range, and moderate movement, and while their attacks deal low damage per hit, all but two attacks are multi-hit with high total damage.

Sample Attacks

The Orbs of Pain also grants a unique starting stance.

Kusarigama[]

Weapon kusarigama

Kusarigama consist of a sickle tethered to a weight by a very long cord. Their attacks have slow speed but extremely long range, some of which are performed with minimal movement while others are performed with moderate movement. Their attacks deal moderately high damage per hit with more multi-hit attack maneuvers than average that in total deal very high damage. While all attacks except their Spinning Slash have at least one strike aimed directly at the head, some multi-hit attacks are less reliable in head-hitting if their first hit is not a headward strike due to the knockback/knockdown of the initial strike.

Sample Attacks
KusarigamaDoubleSlashDouble slash (10Base damage + 12Base damage): a deceptively quick first throw KusarigamaStrongSlashStrong slash (21Base damage): time-consuming but deadly head strike KusarigamaUpperSlashUpper slash (11Base damage + 8Base damage)

All Kusarigama employ the same triple-hit spinning Super Slash.

Tonfas[]

Tonfa

Tonfas are clubs or blades wielded in pairs that are held parallel to the fighter's arms with perpendicular handles. Their attacks deal moderate damage and have fast speed, but they have very short range; attack maneuvers are performed with short to moderate movement. In addition, all but two attacks are aimed directly at the head except down hit.

Sample Attacks
TonfaDoubleSlashDouble slash (8Base damage + 8Base damage): rapid headward punches TonfaSpinningSlashSpinning slash (12Base damage) TonfaUpperSlashUpper slash (12Base damage)

Tonfas can be categorized into two sub-classes based on their Super Slashes.

Axes[]

Axes

Axes are heavy, wide-bladed weapons wielded in pairs. Their attacks deal high damage with slow speed, and their moderate range is augmented by high-momentum attacks that carry the wielder moderately long distances forward. In addition, all but two attacks are aimed directly at the head.

Two-handed Weapon[]

Two-handed Weapon

Two-handed weapon is an umbrella term for many different extremely large weapons designed to deal devastating blows in a single strike that function identically in all standard attacks. Their attacks deal high damage but have very slow speed, and their attacks feature very long range augmented by long leaps.

Sample Attacks
DadaoDoubleSlashDouble slash (12Base damage + 8Base damage) DadaoStrongSlashStrong slash (20Base damage) DadaoLowSlashLow slash (12Base damage)

Two-handed weapons can be categorized into four sub-classes plus one special sub-class based on their Super Slashes and Upper Slashes. Note that a large portion of two-handed weapons - those that use the triple-hit lateral swings - also differ in their Upper Slash from other two-handed weapons, with their Super Slash and Upper Slash given the in-game classification of "two-handed blunt weapon".

Triple-hit Overhead Swings Triple-hit Lateral Swings Triple-hit Spinning-and-Slamming Attack Triple-hit Scythe Slashes
These weapons also grant a unique Upper Slash that strikes quicker over a shorter distance.
Double-hit Dane Axe-Scythe Hybrid Slashes
Composite Scythes also grants unique Strong Slash, Spinning Slash, and Low Slash moves with more hits per attack but longer times to execute.

Trivia: The two-handed cudgel (Kanabō) is often the weapon of choice of mythical Japanese oni.

Claws[]

Claws

Claws are fist-fitted short-blade weapons wielded in pairs. Their attacks deal moderately high damage but have slightly slower speed than average, but despite their short blades, the extension they give the outstretched arm and the long lunges and steps featured in their attacks result in, effectively, a moderate range. In addition, all but two attacks are aimed directly at the head.

Sample Attacks

Claws can be categorized into five sub-classes based on their Super Slashes.

Quadruple-hit Spinning Overhead Slashes Quadruple-hit Lateral Slashes Triple-hit Slash-and-Shock Double-hit Leaping Slash
Sickles grant a unique Swords-like starting stance, but are otherwise typical claws.
Rapid 5-hit Spinning Slashes
Double Scythes also grant unique Slash, Double Slash, and Strong Slash moves that have much longer movement but deal less damage per hit than their typical Claws counterparts. They also grant a unique Axes-like starting stance.

Glaives[]

Glaive SF2

Glaives are two long blades at the ends of a hilt. Their attacks deal moderately high damage but have slightly slower speed than average; the weapons have moderately long range combined with moderately long leaping and lunging movements.

Sample Attacks
GlaiveStrongSlashStrong slash (15Base damage) GlaiveUpperSlashUpper slash (12Base damage): precise blow to the head GlaiveLowSlashLow slash (10Base damage)

Glaives can be categorized into three sub-classes based on their Super Slashes.

Double-Hit Jumping Slashes Triple-hit Spinning Slashes Single-hit Arrow Shot

Trivia: In other contexts, "glaive" usually refers to a type European of polearm capped with a single-edged blade similar to the Japanese Naginata (薙刀) and Chinese Guāndāo (关刀), and double-bladed swords like the "glaives" in this game did not exist historically.

Techno Knives[]

Weapon tec knives

Techno Knives are futuristic knives wielded in pairs; compared to the fast-paced, close range-focused attacks of the standard Knives, attacks performed with Techno Knives have unique movements that provide a more varied fighting style: generally, at the cost of slower speed and slightly below average damage per hit, attacks are performed with longer steps and thrusts that extend the weapons' range and feature more multi-hit attacks that in total deal moderately high amounts of damage.

Sample Attacks
HackKnivesDoubleSlashDouble slash (8Base damage + 8Base damage): preceded by a warm-up HackKnivesSpinningSlashSpinning slash (10Base damage + 10Base damage): twirling torso cuts HackKnivesUpperSlashUpper slash (15Base damage): deadly head-level thrust

All Techno Knives employ the same rapid 6-hit spinning Super Slash.

One-handed Sword[]

Weapon ny23 paid offer

A One-handed Sword is a straight, long, double-edged blade held with one hand. Their attacks are moderately fast with long range and movement, and while their damage per hit is mostly moderately low, their multi-hit attacks feature more strikes than usual that result in very high total damage.

The first generation of this type of weapon is the unavailable Sawblade, which has a unique sound effect when swung.

Sample Attacks
DevotionDoubleSlashDouble slash (8Base damage + 8Base damage + 8Base damage): actually a triple slash DevotionHeavySlashHeavy slash (15Base damage): forceful downward slam DevotionSpinningSlashSpinning slash (11Base damage): long-distance maneuver

All One-handed Swords employ the same moves.

Rifle[]

Weapon rifle

A "Rifle" is a weapon with a blade/bayonet attached to the front of it to enable close combat when approaching a melee range, attacks involve striking the entire length of the rifle. The rifle attack mostly focused at thrusting it's blade/bayonet at the opponent. In addition, all but two of the attacks are aimed directly at the head.

Despite the obvious similarity of the form factor to the staff, the damage and forward momentum of attacks from a rifle resemble blows with Claws and glaives.

Sample Attacks
BayonetDoubleHit Double Hit (7Base damage + 10Base damage): Two blows with a rifle BayonetHeavyHitHeavy Hit (15Base damage): a strong downward blow with a rifle BayonetSpinningHitSpinning Hit (12Base damage): long-distance maneuver

Rifles can be divided into "two subclasses" based on their super slashes.

Triple shot Single shot

Unique weapons[]

These weapons are unique and do not show any similarities with other weapons.

Unarmed[]

Fists are the default "weapons" in Shadow Fight 2 used by barehanded fighters. In the absence of a weapon's added attack strength, they deal low damage at very low range with minimal mobility but have very fast attack speed.

Barehanded attacks can trigger the Martial Spirit perk and lack a Icon punchIcon punch attack; Knuckles weapons (other than the Pneumo Fists) share these properties.

Composite Spear[]

Weapon composite spear

The Thruster, referred to as Composite Spear in the moves menu, is a fictional futuristic spear with sturdy construction and head-extending piston that enable it to be used for both thrusting and bludgeoning. Its attacks deal very low damage (excluding its Upper Slash, which deals the highest single-hit damage out of all weapons' attacks) and are slightly slower than average, but have long range, though its attacks are performed with moderately small movement.

The Composite Spear's highly disjointed thrusts perform similarly to Spears' while strikes with its shaft are similar to those of Staves.

Sample Attacks
ThrusterHeavyThrustHeavy thrust (9Base damage): staff-like slam ThrusterSpinningThrustSpinning thrust (2Base damage + 10Base damage): swing and thrust ThrusterUpperThrustUpper thrust (30Base damage): killing blow

Composite Sword[]

Weapon super composite sword

A Composite Sword is a fictional whip sword consisting of a series of blade segments strung together on an extendable cord. Its attacks are moderately slow, but deal moderately high damage at very long range, and they are performed with moderately little movement. In addition, all but two attacks are aimed at the head.

This class has no obvious equivalent, though it shares a mix of attributes, primarily range and heft, with classes such as Katana, Kusarigama, and Two-Handed Weapons.

Sample Attacks
CompositeSwordDoubleSlashDouble slash (9Base damage + 9Base damage) CompositeSwordHeavySlashHeavy slash (12Base damage) CompositeSwordSpinningSlashSpinning slash (14Base damage)

Giant Sword[]

Weapon boss giant sword

A Giant Sword is a massive, heavy blade that is lifted via a sturdy hilt and a handle positioned halfway up the edge of the blade. The sole in-game Giant Sword, Titan's Desolator, is only wielded (let alone lifted) by Titan: he thrusts the end of the sword at opponents in the default grip, but with herculean strength, he can switch to a sword-like two-handed grip at the hilt to gain additional range. At the cost of very slow attack speed, its attacks deal extremely high damage at very long range, and Titan performs attacks with such a weapon with aggressively long forward movements.

The attributes of the Giant Sword are most similar to, but are much more extreme than, the standard Two-handed Weapon class, though the Giant Sword's thrusting attacks are more reminiscent of other classes.
